30. Benjamin Franklin Became A Popular Writer As A Teenager
Benjamin’s father, Josiah, believed that skill was better than education. Therefore, he sent a teenage Benjamin to go to work with his brother, James, who had just opened a printing press. While Benjamin was interested in printing, he was more interested in writing, but James would not allow Benjamin to write anything. However, this did not stop young Ben as he started to write articles at night and slide them under the door for James to find. Benjamin never used his name, so James did not know it was Benjamin writing the articles, at least not until later.
