28. Benjamin Franklin Suggested The Idea Of Daylight Savings Time
While Benjamin Franklin did not start Daylight Savings Time as we know it today, he did mention the concept. Franklin’s idea of Daylight Savings Time happened when he was living in France during 1784 and became annoyed when the sun kept waking him up at 6 in the morning. Franklin then wrote an article about how business owners would be able to make more money if they followed the time of the sun. However, this idea never took off in Franklin’s time.
