Why We Love It: The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is probably one of the most famous historical buildings on this list, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. In fact, looking into the water and seeing the reflection is one reason this location is so popular.
Take time to honor one of the founding fathers and the third President of the United States of America. The Roman Pantheon inspired the memorial, as did one of Thomas Jefferson’s own designs at the University of Virginia.
