50. Mother Teresa
If we are going to talk about the most beautiful souls that have graced this earth, a perfect place to begin is with Mother Teresa. She served as a missionary in Calcutta, doing humanitarian work among the poorest of the poor, and founded the Order of the Missionaries of Charity. The Order operated a hospice for end-of-life care, as well as a leper colony and center for the blind and disabled. In 1979, she received a Nobel prize for her humanitarian work. She passed in 1997 and was canonized as a saint by Pope Francis in 2016.
