34. Alexander Graham Bell
If beautiful people push boundaries in ways that permanently transform humankind, this list would not be complete without some of the most famous inventors in history, including Alexander Graham Bell. His invention of the telephone completely revolutionized how we communicate with each other. However, the phone was only one in a long list of accomplishments. One design, created when he was 12, removed the husk from wheat more efficiently. Yet, because his mother and wife were both deaf, his interest lay primarily in devices that involved hearing. He implemented a system that used symbols in place of sounds to help deaf people communicate better.
