45. James Watt
James Watt was a beautiful person who pushed limits through inventions that jump-started the Industrial Revolution. In the 1700s, a rudimentary steam engine, known as the Newcomen steam engine, was beginning to change industrial life, and he improved on it with what became known as the Watt steam engine. His steam engine saved energy over the Newcomen one, making it more powerful, efficient, and easily adapted by companies. You have probably heard of James Watt indirectly, as the watt, a unit measuring the intensity of light (especially in light bulbs), is named after him.
