You will enjoy reading about this next traveler if you are of Norwegian heritage. Born in 1918, Anne Ingstad was always interested in archeology and history. In fact, she became known as a Norwegian archeologist alongside her husband, Helge Ingstad, who is also a well-known explorer. These two individuals are best known for discovering the remains of L’Anse aux Meadows, a Norse settlement in Newfoundland. Because of this discovery, Anne became known as a sifter of Viking secrets.
