67. The Disappearing Traveler
By the time the 1800s came about, several travelers had attempted to sail around the world. Some of these individuals wrote about their journey in newspapers and passed down the story from generation to generation. Because of this, other people like Joshua Slocum, dreamed of becoming the first person to sail around the world solo. Fortunately for Slocum, this dream became a reality during the late 1800s. Unfortunately, his ending made him famous when he set sail alone, heading to Massachusetts. No one saw or heard from him again.
