63. Explorer and Activist
Wasfia Nazreen made headlines in 2014 and 2015 when she received the Adventurers of the Year recognition from National Geographic. She is also the first Bengali and Bangladeshi to complete the Seven Summits in November of 2015. She completed this adventure to celebrate 40 years of Bangladeshi independence. This famous explorer was also featured in the UN Women’s “Generation Equality” campaign and a well-known activist for UNESCO’s worldwide Forum on Biodiversity. Many people see Nazreen as influential not only because of her travels but also because of her activism.
