Actress Carrie Fisher was best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies. In addition to her acting career, Fisher was also an accomplished author. Fisher battled addiction and mental illness throughout her life. On December 23, 2016, Fisher suffered a cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was rushed to a hospital and placed on a ventilator but passed away four days later at the age of 60. Her death was attributed to sleep apnea. She is remembered for her contributions to the entertainment industry and her advocacy work.
