The Future of Navigation
In this concept art, we see a screen mounted to someone’s dashboard of their car. There is a photo slide similar to the ViewFinder toys that were invented in the 1960’s. It’s actually quite a clever idea to think that this screen could project a map to help with hands-free navigation. However, there would be a few flaws to this. The map is so small, could the driver really benefit from the image on the screen? Obviously, this concept is incredibly similar to GPS machines that we mount in our cars. A stand-alone GPS was popular in the early 2000’s, but it was quickly replaced by Google Maps on our smartphones.
